VALKYRIE

VALKYRIE was my second entry into the yearly 7 Day FPS game jam. The player is a Valkyrie amidst a war of red and blue cubes. When a blue cube falls in battle a giant cross appears and the player has a limited amount of time to approach it and collect it's energy. The player can then jump above the battle and use the collected energy to help the blue side by buffing troops, summoning new units, and more. The player wins if the blue army is victorious, but the red army has a Valkyrie of their own. My design goal was to create a system that forced the player to continually context shift between the micro and macro aspects of the battle. A VR enabled version is in progress.
